Gene Federico’s designs helped define advertising and art direction in the twentieth century. His work with a series of firms involved projects for clients, such as The New Yorker, IBM, Elizabeth Arden, Christian Dior, and Movado. In 1967, Mr. Federico co-founded Lord, Geller, Federico, Einstein, Inc., where he served as creative director, vice president, and vice chairman. The firm won enduring international respect for its work in advertising and corporate identity. In his later years, Mr. Federico continued as an independent consultant to the firm.

Over his more than fifty-year career, Mr. Federico also contributed to the field of graphic design as a speaker, panelist, and juror at events around the globe. Publications and exhibitions worldwide have featured his work.
