Joe Molloy is a Los Angeles-based graphic designer, typographer, educator, and poet. Mr. Molloy has operated a graphic design studio, Mondo Typo, Inc., for over thirty years and designs publications for print, specializing in text-based works. His clients have included the J. Paul Getty Trust; UCLA; Education Testing Service; St. Petersburg International Center for Preservation; and many arts, educational, and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Molloy has designed books for McGraw-Hill, Arts & Architecture Press, Burgess Publishing, Simon and Schuster, Minneola Press, and G.P. Putnam’s Sons. His award-winning works include a poster design for the Santa Monica Arts Commission and publications for the Getty Conservation Institute. He originated the certificate program in graphic design at UCLA Extension and designed the original curriculum.
