Margo Chase has merged her fascination for letterforms, gothic architecture, and medieval manUSCripts with the transformative power of digital technology to bring a singular vision to the art of graphic design. Following her undergraduate education in veterinary medicine, Ms. Chase took an unanticipated turn into the field of design. She founded her studio, Chase Design Group, in 1986; the group defines itself as a full-service identity boutique.
Ms. Chase has applied her expressive style, which incorporates complex layering and distinctive lettering, to projects that include film, television, and recording graphics; Web sites; print, consumer packaging and products; and interactive multimedia design. Her client list includes espn, the wb Network, and Microsoft Network. Both Adobe Systems and Media 100 have chosen her to create promotional pieces for their software. Margo Chase’s work was included in the exhibition “Women Designers USA: 1900–2000,” sponsored by Bard College.
