Seven times a year PLATO invites prestigious guest speakers for thought-provoking lectures and question and answer sessions. Colloquiums are held on Thursday afternoons at the Skirball Cultural Center off the 405 freeway. Speakers are drawn from our diverse California culture as well as from the resources of the University.
A coffee, tea and wonderful cookies reception starts at 12:45, followed by the presentation in the auditorium at 1:30, then questions and answers until adjournment at 2:45. Come early to the Skirball to meet new and old PLATO friends at the Zagat-rated Zeidler’s restaurant (reservations required) or, enjoy a box lunch on the patio.
Sign up at the MIC desk for each Colloquium so we know how many to expect.
Guests are always welcome. Catch the Colloquium Habit! |
