About this course:

This presentation is intended to introduce the federal tax reporting form for nonprofit organizations, and is a practical "how to read" or troubleshoot the information that is presented.  It explores the change in focus on the revised Form 990.  What are the funding sources?  How are special events reported?   How is Schedule A completed differently for donative charities and exempt function charities?  Do expenses break down between program, management and fundraising?  How does the new Form inform what kind of programs are being run?  How is compensation reported differently on the new Form 990?  What governance policies is the IRS asking about on the new Form 990?  How can the Form 990 be used as a marketing tool?  These questions will be answered, and much more.
