About this course:
A central feature of most special events and public relations campaigns is the "talent"--the celebrity, speaker, or other individual or group whose participation helps to make the event or project special. In today's media-conscious world, celebrities in particular bring visibility and attract more attention for special events and promotional activities than most other public relations, fundraising, and marketing strategies. Contacting and working with celebrities, however, can require critical research and specialized rules of protocol, not to mention the myriad details that can make or break your event or project.
