Digital Technology Internship
This elective course provides practical experience in a variety of digital technology job functions with companies or institutions within either the private or public sectors.
About this course:This elective course provides practical experience in a variety of digital technology job functions with companies or institutions within either the private or public sectors. Projects and assignments include, but are not limited to, application development, system analysis, data analysis, network administration, network architecture and engineering, cybersecurity, database administration, web development, operating systems administration, and information technology technical support. Qualified students are placed in job settings for a minimum of 120 hours. Companies offering internships do so with no obligation to provide compensation to interns. The internship is a practical application of material studied previously in various classes in certificate and specialization programs offered by UCLA Extension Digital Technology Department.
It is advisable that you complete the following (or equivalent) since they are prerequisites for Digital Technology Internship.
Students must be enrolled in a certificate or a specialization program offered by UCLA Extension Digital Technology Department and have completed a minimum of 12 units, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Permission in advance from the Certificate Advisor of the Digital Technology Department is required. F1 students pursuing a paid internship must have permission from the International Student Office before enrolling.
