Digital Technology Internship
This elective course provides practical experience in a variety of digital technology job functions with companies or institutions within either the private or public sectors (student must secure own internship).

About this course:
This elective course provides practical experience in a variety of digital technology job functions with companies or institutions within either the private or public sectors. Projects and assignments include, but are not limited to, application development, system analysis, data analysis, network administration, network architecture, and engineering, cybersecurity, database administration, web development, operating systems administration, and information technology technical support. Students will need to acquire their own internship (the internship cannot last more than 3 months). Once you’ve acquired an internship, the company will need to send us a letter at dt@uclaextension.edu confirming the internship also listing the details of the internship. You can acquire an internship and get it applied as an elective more than once.Students must be enrolled in a certificate or a specialization program offered by UCLA Extension Digital Technology Department and have completed a minimum of 12 units, with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Permission in advance from the Certificate Advisor of the Digital Technology Department is required. F-1 students can pursue paid internships (CPT) starting the fourth quarter of studies.
