Promise and Peril In The Time of ChatGPT
This webinar will introduce you to the concepts behind ChatGPT. We will discuss the innerworkings of modern text generators like GPT-2, 3, and 4, while acknowledging their impact and limitations, leading to a more productive dialog between scientists in artificial intelligence and society, now and into the future.
What you can learn.
- Learn the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and how the algorithms are developed
- Understand the basics that help machines “understand” language
- Examine concepts behind artificial intelligence and generative models such as ChatGPT
- Study OpenAI and the interworking of modern text generators like GPT-2, 3, and 4
- Engage in discussion about the impacts and limitations of ChatGPT
About this course:
Artificial Intelligence has long been a specialized topic, periodically in the news, often poorly understood, and yet in many everyday technologies. However, recent advancements in generative models, including ChatGPT, have challenged the longstanding, quiet partnership between AI and society, and have generated significant public debate. While ChatGPT is a novel improvement, the core algorithm significantly predates OpenAI’s public release. This webinar is on the rise of ChatGPT. Starting from the basics that help machines “understand” language it will next discuss the innerworkings of modern text generators like GPT-2, 3, and 4, while acknowledging impact and limitations, hopefully guiding a more productive dialog between AI scientists and society, now and into the future.Corporate Education
