About this course:
The Raspberry Pi is a wildly popular single board computer. With over 10 million units sold, it is used by professionals and hobbyists alike. Commonly used in Internet of Things (IoT) projects, this board has all the capabilities needed for remote sensing and communications. In this class, students will program in Python on the Linux operating system on their Raspberry Pi boards. Students will not only write programs in Python but they will also build and connect basic electronic designs to the board. Once connected, they will learn to use Python to interface with their own electronics. They will also develop Python programs that will use a database, a web server, to send and receive both tweets and SMS messages.COM SCI X 418.104B - Python Programming I
