About this course:
Students learn how to design and implement Project-Based Learning (PBL) instructional units in the K-12 classroom and examine how PBL is an effective instructional approach for bridging 21st century skills and state standards (Common Core Mathematics and English Language Arts, and Next Generation Science). The course focuses on the essential elements of PBL, including driving and essential questions for inquiry, exploration of real-world issues and solving authentic problems using digital tools and resources, and performance assessments. As they learn about the necessary elements and structure of a well-designed project, course participants themselves experience the course as a collaborative, project-based learning unit. As the final product, students develop a standards-aligned PBL unit for use in their own teaching.Corporate Education
