What’s the best camera you can get to start in filmmaking? The one you already own. In everyone’s pocket is a powerful creative tool. Your smartphone camera can produce film-quality video content that is suitable for social media, commercial and brand video work, as well as documentary and narrative film work. There is an evolving aesthetic for smartphone filmmaking genre, as well as festivals and awards. Suitable for aspiring filmmakers, entrepreneurs, storytellers, social media content creators, this workshop shows you how to work with ambient light to capture film-quality video, and use it in your production. Filmmakers will learn how to leverage the creative capabilities of their smartphone camera to assist in film pre-production and visualization: skillfully shoot your location, scouting, blocking, staging and rehearsals. You then manage and organize what you’ve shot, and edit your content using mobile editing software.
