About this course:

For aspiring agents and managers, as well as prospective talent, this course presents an in-depth overview of the role of talent representatives in the entertainment industry. Instruction covers the roles of agents, managers, lawyers, casting directors, producers, line producers, and publicists. Through lectures and discussion with guest speakers, participants explore the journey from script to screen as an actor books both a studio movie and an independent film with conflicting dates. This and other real-life scenarios are presented to illustrate networking opportunities, negotiating tactics, the difference between film and television deals, and the importance of career choices.
