Fitness Testing and Health/Risk Appraisal

- Practice fitness-testing techniques: body composition analysis, blood pressure monitoring, flexibility, and assessment of range of motion
- Explore muscular endurance, strength testing, and submaximal cardiovascular fitness testing techniques
- Assess health questionnaires and identify fitness parameters and goals
About this course:
It is advisable that you complete the following (or equivalent) since they are prerequisites for Fitness Testing and Health/Risk Appraisal.
Winter 2019 Schedule
These courses meet in person and make use of an online presence to varying degrees.
Enrollment/class participation contingent on signing a liability waiver.
Students are required to purchase basic fitness testing equipment including the following: blood pressure cuff with sphygmomanometer; stethoscope; skin fold caliper; and measuring tape. These items may be purchased separately or in kit form. Further details about this requirement will be presented in class. Approximate cost for basic kit is $60.
