Artist Statement
Photography has been a passion of mine since the 7th grade, when I took my first photography class and I received a 35mm camera and darkroom kit for Christmas. As an instructor for UCLA Extension, I’ve developed the curriculum for and teach two online photography classes: Introduction to Digital Photography with Photoshop and Advanced Digital Photography with Photoshop. In addition, I also teach Photoshop I and Design Project Management for the Design Communication Arts. I’m currently developing a new class entitled Digital Travel Photography with Adobe Lightroom. My courses emphasize creative exploration and technical skill development. The online format provides students a flexible, self-paced learning environment, while still experiencing interaction with classmates and hands-on guidance from the instructor. My students find this a very rewarding and enjoyable way to learn and discover creative photography and graphic art.
