Laura Warrell

As an educator, my goal has been to demonstrate to students that a creative life is a fulfilled life and that participating in an intellectual community brings personal power that will aid them as future leaders. Over the years, I have developed an innovative teaching approach that sharpens students’ critical thinking skills and helps them produce high-quality work that meets academic standards and allows them to develop their voices as individuals.

My students have come from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and possessed varying degrees of academic preparation.  Thus, my task has been to develop a supportive yet motivating classroom that draws on students’ experiences and accommodates different needs and abilities.
