Nancy Harrington

Nancy Harrington is a teacher and landscape contractor with 37 years of experience in garden design, garden renovation and installation.  She has been in business since 1978 and specializes in the care of all styles of landscapes including drought tolerant plants.  With a strong emphasis on non-mechanical pruning, many of her original garden installations have been maintained by her highly trained crew, on a periodic basis, for over 15 to 20 years.  Nancy specializes in residential gardens and has worked across greater Los Angeles area. While not involved with construction, her projects involve the installation of pathways, trees, shrubs, vines, perennials, drought tolerant plants as well as container gardens.  In addition to working in the field, Nancy has taught for more than 30 years on almost every aspect of gardening practices.She frequently lectures on the subject of designing with color and has been a guest speaker at the Southern California Garden Club Association with many local garden clubs in cities such as Burbank, Simi Valley and Beverly Hills.  An instructor with UCLA Extension since 2001, Nancy has trained and mentored many Extension students who have since started up their own businesses.
