Pamela Barden

With a professional career in strategic fundraising that spans 40 years, Pamela brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to working with nonprofit organizations.  As a consultant to nonprofits large and small, she specializes in writing fundraising copy for both offline and online use and P.R and membership retention materials. Pamela is co-founder and “head guide” at Camp347 (www.camp347.com), an online resource to help leaders and fundraisers at small to mid-sized nonprofits expand their knowledge of what’s working in today’s nonprofit and learn how to implement proven strategies.
In her previous nonprofit experience, Pamela focused on international relief and development, and was responsible for all fundraising activities. Pamela left nonprofit employment to join an agency serving the nonprofit sector, responsible for the management of the largest single account, providing strategic leadership to the account, including the overall fundraising approach, creative and copy.

Pamela is a 2011 winner of a Gold Award for Fundraising Excellence and a winner of a silver ECHO award from the Direct Marketing Association. She is the co-author of The Complete Guide to Fundraising Management, 4th edition. She is an instructor for UCLA Extension School’s Fundraising Certification Program, formerly an adjunct faculty at the University of La Verne, College of Business and Public Management, and a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE).

Pamela has a B.A. in Communication from Wheaton (Illinois) College; an M.B.A. from Dominican University; and a Doctorate of Business Administration from California Southern University.
