Perla Arquieta

From 1994 to 2013,  I worked with Galper/Baldon Associates, Laura Saltzman Associates, Artecho Landscape Architects, KAA Design Group and currently The County of Los Angeles Parks and Recreation. My body of work includes residential, institutional, commercial and public projects.

These firms have published projects in Sunset, Los Angeles, Garden Design magazines, House and Garden magazines, Architectural Record, Interior Design, Los Angeles Magazine, The Robb Report, Western Interiors, The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

Galper/Baldon authored “Steps And Stairways” Rizzoli International, New York 1989, and “Reflections On A Pool” Rizzoli International, New York 1997, and have had numerous projects published in Sunset, and Los Angeles Times Magazine. The Lunada Bay Artecho Project was published in Garden Design which presented my co-workers and me with an ASLA Design Honor Award in 2007.

I feel that my greatest contribution to my practice has been my vital conviction of the importance of environmental protection and my passion related to the sustainability and health of landscape projects.

My current work for the County of Los Angeles Department of the Parks and Recreation includes but is not limited the in-house conceptual, schematic design of public projects and the production of construction documents. I was the designer of the first County owned Dog Park Crescenta Valley Dog Park. You can see my work at http://www.parquieta.com/

I am  a member of the America Society of Landscape Architecture and am dedicated toward “elevating the human spirit through sustainable design”.
