Wendy Glomb
Wendy Glomb has been working in the field of Architecture and Landscape Design for many years. Her educational training started at Syracuse School of Forestry where she realized that Landscape Architecture was a profession and a great direction for her. She transferred from Syracuse to University of Oregon in order to combine her interest in studying Landscape Architecture and Architecture and graduated with a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture.
She always visualized the inside and outside as seamless and felt she had to decide to practice either Architecture or Landscape. She began working in San Francisco for MLTW- William Turnbull and then moved to NYC. In NY she worked for James Stuart Polshek and then the Hertz Corporation. Wendy received her license as an Architect in the state of NY. She moved to Boston to run her own business for years before moving to Santa Barbara, California in 1991. Wendy spent 3 years in China from 2002- 2005 working to develop the Western Academy of Beijing International School.
Wendy began teaching at the Extension Program in 2013 and has taught two classes; one in Native Plants of CA and another in Garden Design.
