About this certificate.

The Landscape Architecture Certificate is a rigorous 3-year evening and weekend program tailored for the working person. The curriculum provides design methodology, technical knowledge and land stewardship, which is applied to actual sites within the Los Angeles area.

Landscape architects practice in private firms, multidisciplinary firms, park agencies, city and urban planning offices, natural resource planning agencies and offices, as well as many other fields. Our classes are taught by practicing landscape architects as well as industry professionals providing a unique educational experience and perspective from those who not only 'talk the talk, but also walk the walk.'

UCLA Extension's Landscape Architecture program is an approved university extension certificate program by the California Architects Board Landscape Architects Technical Committee, meeting the educational requirements required by the State of California to sit for the state licensing exam.*
