About this course:

Using actual trial transcripts and other legal documents, this course emphasizes techniques and practice in consecutive interpretation in courtrooms and in other settings in which consecutive is required. This course covers note-taking techniques, specialized vocabulary, hands-on practice, court procedures, ethics and the job market, as well as the background required for exams given by federal, state, and county agencies.  Guest speakers to address different aspects of the profession will be invited.
Prerequisites
X 460A Translation: Spanish to English and X 460B Translation: English to Spanish and admission to Interpretation/Translation Certificate: Spanish/English.
