About this course:This course investigates source Buddhism, beginning with Siddhartha's search to his sit under the Bodhi tree, through the formation of the three Dharma Seals to some of the more famous sutras. Next, we examine the spread of Buddhism into China and its mixture with Taoism, followed by its impact on Japan. Finally, we look at how it compares to some Western thought, even the difference in meditation.
