About this course:

The story of Led Zeppelin is just as epic as the music they created. Before forming their supergroup, Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones were two of London's hottest sessions musicians, and Robert Plant and John Bonham were members of Band of Joy. The four of them joined forces in 1968 as The New Yardbirds, initially to fulfill a contractual obligation of Page's former band, and would go on to become one of the most successful rock and roll acts of all time. In just over a decade, they redefined what rock music was and how people listened to it, played sold out stadium shows to millions of people, and so much more. In this course, we cover the entire career of the band and the lives of its members; take an in-depth look at their incredible music, influence and legacy; and discuss the rare occasions when they've reformed and played again since breaking up in 1980.
