About this course:

Falls are the leading cause of fatal and nonfatal injuries in people age 65 and older. Common injuries due to falls are head injuries, shoulder and forearm fractures, spine fractures, and hip fractures. Keeping an active lifestyle is the most important step toward injury prevention and management of other chronic health conditions. In this course, we cover nutritional concerns and practice exercise techniques to develop resistance training for bone strength and reactivity—the ability to react to one’s environment.
