About this course:

In this course, we hear the little-known story of the women who evacuated the sinking Titanic on Lifeboat No. 8. The women in this lifeboat were led by the Countess of Rothes, one of the three wealthiest people on the ship and the only passenger who was titled. It was the Countess who calmed the other passengers and manned the lifeboat’s tiller—a determined, valiant figure in her ermine coat and heirloom pearls. Her story, before, during and after that tragic April night, and the stories of other intriguing passengers, makes this dramatic and timeless saga totally new, and compelling. This presentation is based on the instructor’s Amazon and New York Times #1 bestselling e-book, Lifeboat No. 8: Surviving the Titanic.
