The Wrecking Crew was a group of L.A. studio musicians in the sixties who played on hits for the Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Sonny and Cher, Jan and Dean, the Monkees, Gary Lewis and the Playboys, the Mamas and the Papas, Tijuana Brass, Ricky Nelson and Johnny Rivers; and also created Phil Spector's famous "Wall of Sound." In the spirit of the award-winning Standing in the Shadows of Motown, the new documentary, The Wrecking Crew, shines a much-deserved spotlight on the tremendous accomplishments of these amazing artists.
