Students are provided with Oracle Primavera P6 Professional software 8.X, with installation instructions. P6 Professional can only be installed on a 64 bit computer using Microsoft Windows XP Operating System (64bit) or Window 7 Operating System (64bit).
We will not provide support to install software on student computers.
Additionally if you have a MAC computer call Terry Werner (310 825 4100) to obtain instructions for the installation of Parallels Desktop for MAC to Run Microsoft Windows 7 (64Bit). For MAC Users we can give you Microsoft Windows 7 (64bits) when you purchase Parallels Desktop from the ASUCLA Computer Store for $39.95. Do not use MAC Boot Camp virtualization software.
This course presents an in-depth study of the
current systems and techniques applied in
construction planning, scheduling, control, and
delay impact analysis. Instruction emphasizes the
Critical Path Method approach to developing
baseline schedules, progress measurement, earned
value, integrated management systems, and
as-planned versus as-built analysis. The course also
includes hands-on computerized scheduling using
Primavera Systems software. As part of the course each student receives a copy of the software.
Prerequisite: X 407.1 Construction Management, or equivalent experience and consent of instructor.
Required course in the Construction Management Certificate.
