4 Courses Required

This specialization gives you the essential skills and information to get started in the rapidly growing field of College Counseling.  Designed to give you a solid foundation as well as an opportunity to explore areas of interest, this specialization can be completed in just two quarters.  Students that complete the specialization receive a Record of Participation and all courses are applicable to the full Certificate in College Counseling.

Requirements: In order to earn the specialization students must hold a bachelor’s degree. We require an official copy of that transcript. Students who earned their degree outside of the U.S. need to submit it to a transcript evaluation service which then forwards their report to us.

Recommendations: Because EDUC X 414.81 and EDUC X 414.82 are foundational courses it is recommended that students take these two course before taking the elective and EDUC X 414.80 courses.

Students must earn a letter grade in a course in order for it to be applied toward the certificate of completion.
