The UCLA Extension Cybersecurity Boot Camp is a challenging, part-time program that prepares students with the skills, understanding, and tools they will need to initiate and advance their careers in the cybersecurity industry. The program utilizes a multidisciplinary curriculum that heavily emphasizes a lab-first approach supplemented by theory and certification preparation. Students in the program will be exposed to a wide range of topics across computing; networking; programming, systems, network, and browser security; penetration testing; policy management; and more. The program will leverage a curriculum that safely exposes students to the modern toolsets of cybersecurity professionals – including technologies like Wireshark, Packet Tracer, Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite, and more. Students in the program will further receive targeted training on the highly in-demand certifications CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, and CISSP.
