Physics for Life Sciences Majors: Thermodynamics, Fluids, Waves, Light, and Optics
PHYSICS XL 5B
This is the second course in the pre-medical physics sequence, which provides an introduction to thermal properties of fluids, sound, light, waves, and optics.
What you can learn.
- Evaluate the relation between energy, temperature, and gases
- Apply thermal properties to biological and biochemical systems
About this course:
Thermal properties of matter, free energy, fluids, ideal gas, diffusion, oscillations, waves, sounds, light, and optics, with applications to biological and biochemical systems. Transferable for UC credit.
It is advisable that you complete the following (or equivalent) since they are prerequisites for Physics for Life Sciences Majors: Thermodynamics, Fluids, Waves, Light, and Optics.
