A course or examination covering the provisions and principles of the United States Constitution is required by the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) for teaching and service credentials. According to the California Education Code, this requirement may be met by completion of coursework or a college-level examination completed at a regionally-accredited university or a community college. UCLA Extension is one such university; we offer the U.S. Constitution examination that is accepted for credentialing purposes.
