About this course:

This workshop engages students in the processes of both creation and revision with the goal of evolving drafts into striking, accomplished poems.  Imagery, pacing, line-breaks, compression and expansion, and appearance of the poem on the page are explored, together with the element of discovery.  The sensibility and criteria of various editors, local and national, is discussed.  Appropriate for those with some formal training.
