About this course:
In this cross-genre creative writing course, we explore how writing ideas can spring from visual artworks, which are, in essence, a representation of our lives without the use of language. We examine specific works of art including Renaissance painting, Dutch still life, abstract expressionism, and twentieth century photography and collage, then read the poetry, short fiction, and essays that evolved from the work. By the end of the course, students will have sparked a number of new projects they can continue after class ends.Contact Us
