About this course:

TV execs and showrunners want to read original pilots that demonstrate your unique voice and sensibilities. This course shows you how to take your original idea and develop a strong story rife with memorable characters and sharp moments. Breaking story in the style of a real writers room, you'll brainstorm, develop a compelling pilot, and support others' vision. By the end of the course, you have strong act breaks, a full beat outline, and a critique of the first pages of your original half-hour pilot script. This course counts toward the four-course Writer's Fellowship Prep Specialization.
Prerequisites
SCRIPT X 421.1 Beginning Writing for the Half-Hour Spec I and SCRIPT X 421.2 Beginning Writing the Half-Hour Spec II, or equivalent, or department approval.
