About this course:

Screenwriting workshops can do more than prepare you for a career as a creator. Our panel of film, TV, and video game industry insiders will talk about career paths in the industry that benefit from a background in screen storytelling, writing, and workshopping. Whether you’re looking for a way to forge new connections, broaden your professional network, grab a paycheck while polishing your scripts, or even setting forth into a parallel career, these professionals will help you understand what roles are right for you and how you can thrive in and around Hollywood until your big break arrives. Panelists: Matthew Einstein (Tradition Pictures), Toiya Kristen Finley (video game writer), Isabella Mastrodicasa (Heroes & Villains Entertainment), Nancy Nigrosh (literary agent), Koji Steven Sakai (graphic novelist & screenwriter), Roz Weisberg (development).

This course uses remote instruction. As such, instructors use Zoom to offer live class meetings at the designated class meeting time. Students must be present at course meeting times as each student’s final grade may include scores for participation. Please inform your instructor if you will miss a class meeting. You are responsible for any class information you missed. We suggest you arrange with a fellow classmate to share their notes when feasible.
