About this course:
Writing a first draft is the "dating" phase of creating a polished, marketable screenplay; the long and complex process of revising it requires the commitment of a marriage between you and your material. Designed for dedicated writers with a full draft feature film script and the willingness to acquire rewriting tools through specific exercises, this seminar covers skills to assess what works and doesn't in your script. Acquire a toolbox of practical techniques for examining your own work objectively and diagnosing its strengths and problems; prepare a strategy for making corrections; and, once you determine the relationship is worth the effort, jump into the rewriting process. The course goal is to leave the seminar ready to revise an existing piece of work.
