The submission deadline for Fall quarter has been extended to Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at 9AM.
Course may be taken to satisfy core (Advanced) units in the Creative Nonfiction Certificate Program, or as an elective in either fiction/creative nonfiction certificate. No meeting November 12, 2018. Enrollment limited to 12 students. Visitors not permitted. $100 nonrefundable.

At the “Contact Information” Page, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the page and initial both boxes under “Privacy Policies.” Continue Checkout.
Click “Start” on the first Application page.
On the 2nd Application page, click “Start” on the bottom left side of the page.
After that, you will be asked to upload a file as a writing sample. If you are pre-approved, check the “pre-approved” box and fill out your information. Once you finish the steps, click “Submit Application.”
NOTE: Despite being asked to enter payment information, YOU WILL NOT BE CHARGED for this course unless you choose to enroll if/when you receive a notice of acceptance for the course. In other words, it’s 100% free to apply. The full course fee will be due up front to register, prior to attending the course.
Selection notices will likely be distributed via email 1-2 weeks before the class is scheduled to start. In the meantime, you can also register for alternative open-enrollment course and transfer upon your acceptance.
Submission Guidelines for Creative Nonfiction III with Barbara Abercrombie
Please submit a 3-page writing sample and a short paragraph describing your work-in-progress. The sample should be from the project you plan to work on during the course. (Your submission should all be in one file as a PDF Document)
Pre-approvals* are accepted.
* If the instructor is already familiar with your work, you can request to be "pre-approved." The pre-approval submission waives the synopsis and writing submission portion of the application but does not guarantee admission into the advanced course.
