As one of the nation’s oldest, largest and most comprehensive continuing education providers, UCLA Extension combines top-tier academics with practical real-world applications. Whether online or in the classroom, take advantage of all UCLA Extension has to offer:

  • UCLA-approved curriculum
  • Open Enrollment – no application process required for most courses
  • Certificate programs, Specializations, undergraduate degree-credit, and continuing education credits

The instructors and support providers had a personalized approach, facilitating my interest in styling assignments to address the populations I serve. At UCLA Extension, I truly feel like an individual, not just number in a digital course space.

How Our Online Courses Work

  1. Log into Canvas, our easy-to-use, cloud-based learning management system using your web browser or the Canvas mobile app. Review the course syllabus, connect with classmates in the discussion portal and begin your studies!
  2. Study on your own schedule, by engaging with weekly course materials (which may include discussion boards, weekly readings and videos, webinars, and other course activities).
  3. Connect with your instructor with questions about your assignments, your progress, or to gain deeper insights on various topics.
  4. Submit your coursework via Canvas for feedback and evaluation. Contact 24/7 technical support if you need assistance with using Canvas.

I work full‐time, Monday to Saturday, and I'm taking my courses fully online in a different time zone, but I've always been able to get prompt responses and support I need in order to succeed in my classes. I learn dynamic hands‐on skills and practical knowledge which I can apply directly at work.
