Capstone: Building the Preparedness Plan

In this capstone course, students build at least one module of a preparedness plan each week utilizing lessons learned in the previous five courses. Employed students may utilize their employer as the subject case.

  • Build a complete preparedness plan for your employer or a public company, one week at a time
  • Incorporate lessons learned in the previous five courses to demonstrate your command of emergency preparedness principles and practices

About this course:

In this capstone course, students build at least one module of a preparedness plan each week utilizing lessons learned in the previous five courses (subject to instructor approval of the organization, agency or company). Those who are employed may wish to recommend their employer as the subject case. Students may also select a company or agency for which a substantial amount of public data is available, such as publicly traded corporations who file detailed annual reports.
Prerequisites
Successful completion of the other five required courses in the Emergency Management and Homeland Security Program.
