About This Course

This course continues to cover basic and introduces more advanced concepts of periodontology including clinical examinations, diagnosis, etiology, prognosis, non-surgical and surgical treatments. In addition, classic and current literature and evidence-based periodontics and implant dentistry are discussed. Research methodology, critical review of research aspects of periodontics and implant dentistry are emphasized. This course utilizes the seminars, presentations, clinical sessions, and hands-on sessions to cover the importance of clinical periodontology, especially patient education, oral hygiene, and periodontal maintenance. In addition, this course will cover the basic literature of periodontology and discuss the application of the information to the patient care.
