AI-Powered Software Development

Software development is undergoing a profound transformation as AI-powered coding assistants, autonomous agents, and "vibe coding" platforms increasingly automate traditional programming tasks. This course prepares students for the next generation of
software development by teaching them how to design, build, test, secure, deploy, and manage software through AI-assisted workflows. Rather than focusing primarily on writing code manually, students learn how to translate business requirements into AI-executable specifications, orchestrate AI development agents, evaluate AI-generated solutions, and ensure software quality, security, privacy, and compliance.

The course is intentionally structured around approximately 40% software creation and 60% AI-driven development management, reflecting the growing importance of product thinking, architecture, governance, validation, cybersecurity, and human-AI collaboration in modern software engineering.
By the end of the course, students will build and deploy a functioning application using AI- powered development tools while demonstrating mastery of secure AI-assisted development practices.
