About this course:

One of the fastest-growing segments of the college-going population is the first-generation student. However, many people/organizations that work with this audience have limited knowledge of identifying, motivating, and effectively assisting these students and their families during the college application process. This webinar will help participants understand the intersectionality, challenges, and opportunities available for students. In addition, we will explore strategies for motivation and support for students and families. This webinar is helpful for school counselors, college advisors, CBOs, volunteers, and others who work with high school students in various settings.
