Teacher Education Programs Virtual Open House: Induction, CTE, and CTEL/CLAD

Explore your next step in education with UCLA Extension. Our quarterly virtual open house introduces three program pathways designed to support educators at different stages of their careers:

  • Teacher Induction: For teachers holding a California Preliminary Multiple Subject, Single Subject, or Education Specialist credential who are seeking a Clear credential through mentoring and professional learning.

  • Career Technical Education (CTE): For industry professionals interested in bringing their occupational expertise into the classroom and Preliminary Designated Subjects CTE credential holders working toward a Clear CTE credential.

  • CTEL/CLAD: For California credentialed educators seeking an English Learner authorization and preparation to support multilingual learners.

Begin with a welcome and brief UCLA Extension overview, then join the program breakout room that matches your interests. Meet program representatives, explore admission requirements and application steps, learn about upcoming enrollment opportunities, and ask program-specific questions. All participants will reconvene for closing remarks and next steps.

Prospective candidates, school and district administrators, employers, and community partners are welcome.

What to Expect

  • 4:00–4:10 p.m. | Welcome and UCLA Extension Overview
    Meet the team and receive an introduction to the programs and breakout-room format.

  • 4:10–4:50 p.m. | Program Breakout Rooms and Q&A
    Choose one of three concurrent rooms—Teacher Induction, CTE, or CTEL/CLAD—for program details, application guidance, and questions.

  • 4:50–5:00 p.m. | Whole-Group Closing and Next Steps
    Return to the main room for final reminders, contact information, and follow-up resources.

Open houses are offered quarterly in Fall, Winter, Spring, and Summer. Future dates will be announced as they are confirmed.
