An I-20 and F-1 visa are not required if studying from your home country.

The American Language Center now offers all English language programs and courses online. Participate in interactive lessons in a virtual classroom from the comfort of your home.
To accommodate the needs of our students studying from all over the world, choose from two schedule options: Morning (9am–3pm PT) or Evening (4–10pm PT).

Online courses are accessed using UCLA Extension's learning management system, Canvas. Within Canvas you can interact with your instructor and peers, find course materials, activities, and assignments. Your program will also use Zoom to conduct scheduled, live-online class sessions.

English for academic purposes with emphasis on all skills, especially reading, writing and TOEFL preparation. Students in the advanced levels also have the opportunity to earn UCLA transferable credit. The program includes twenty-three, 50-minute sessions per week.
