American Culture and Communication (ACC)

Study English in Sunny Southern California

American Culture and Communication (ACC) is a part-time course that helps participants improve English skills while learning about American culture and life in Southern California.

This course is designed for individuals, 18 years or older, who are in the United States for tourism, business, and/or visiting family. Classes are held in the morning with three 50 minute sessions. Topics include pop culture, American TV and movies, media studies, grammar, idioms and slang, business English, and more.

Note: This course is for part-time study only and does not qualify for the F-1 student visa.

Enroll in ACC if you:

  • Are in the U.S. mainly for tourism, business, and/or visiting family
  • Want to study part time and don’t have an F-1 student visa
  • Want to improve your listening and speaking skills
  • Want to learn about American culture and life in Southern California

All ACC applications must be submitted in person at the American Language Center office listed below. ACC applications will not be accepted by email or fax.

Minimum Age
Participants must be 18 years of age or older at the start of the program.

Visitor Visa
Participants must have a visitor visa (B-1, B-2) for business and/or tourism.
