This course offers a basic introduction to pharmacology including the classifications, precautions, contraindications, side effects, and administering of commonly prescribed pharmaceuticals.

  • Compare actions and precautions between various drug classes
  • Calculate limits to issue drug dosages
  • Identify side effects of medications

About this course:

Course is basic introduction to pharmacology. Most commonly prescribed drugs are presented within the major drug classifications along with drug actions, common adverse reactions, precautions, and contraindications. Emphasis is placed patient safety, rights, and education. Skills will include proper techniques for medication administration.
