About This Course

This seminar prepares students to succeed in college-level coursework. Students begin by examining how memory actually works — and where it commonly fails — then learn and practice four evidence-based study strategies: spacing, interleaving, retrieval practice, and variability. Along the way, students assess their own learning strengths and build practical skills in note-taking, reading comprehension, and time management. By the end of the seminar, students leave with a study plan they can apply immediately in their certificate courses.
