Barb holds an M.B.A. with a concentration in Marketing from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Science with majors in Management and Marketing from Central Michigan University. She has been teaching marketing since 1997 and started teaching online as the learning platforms began emerging in 2000. She also continues to teach on campus at a local university. Barb began teaching with UCLA Extension in 2001 and has taught multiple classes in marketing and entrepreneurship.
Barb has also worked as an independent consultant for many years, working with small businesses to develop and implement marketing strategies. She served as the Marketing Manager for Tennant Company, a manufacturer of commercial floor maintenance equipment, in Holland, Michigan.
She has published articles on target marketing and public relations, as well as developed classes to be taught by multiple instructors. Barb has a true passion for marketing and enjoys helping others gain an appreciation for the discipline.
