Bobby Borg

Bobby Borg is a former major label, independent, and DIY recording/touring artist with over 25 years experience working along side the most respected musicians, songwriters, managers, producers, and A&R executives in the music industry. He also served as the VP of Special Events for the Los Angeles chapter of the American Marketing Association and as Chairman of Music Business at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California. A recipient of UCLA Extension’s Distinguished Instructor of the Year Award, Borg is known for taking complex topics and making them easy to understand. He teaches DIY music marketing, music publishing, and general music business classes both online and on-campus, and he speaks regularly at Berklee College of Music and other distinguished schools worldwide. Borg is the author of three widely read books: Music Marketing For The DIY Musician, Business Basics For Musicians, Five Star Music Makeover, and over 1,000 highly publicized magazine and blog articles for Billboard.com, Hypebot, SonicBids, Music Connection, Disc Makers, Band Zoogle, and more. He is the founder of Bobby Borg Consulting, where he helps music business professionals turn their art into a more successful business. A life-long learner, Borg has a holds a BA in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music, certificates in Marketing Management, Project Management, and Instructor Development from UCLA, and a Masters degree in Communication Management (MCM) from the University of Southern California.
