Dan McAuliffe

Dan McAuliffe, PE is a civil engineer and construction management professional with project experience in the seismic retrofit, multi-family residential, hospitality, commercial, and institutional market sectors. He is primarily focused on leading his project teams as the general contractor self-performing structural concrete. Passionate about maximizing efficiency for all project stake-holders, Dan is particularly interested in building information modeling (BIM) and the implementation of Lean Construction techniques during the construction phase of the project life cycle.

Dan is the founder and principal at Argo Engineering, Inc, (https://argo-eng.com/) where he provides his clients turn-key soft story retrofit solutions. He is a LEED Accredited Professional with the BD+C designation and is a member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), Lean Construction Institute (LCI), and the Structural Engineers Association of Southern California (SEAOSC). He has been teaching at UCLA Extension since 2013 and was the recipient of the 2019 Distinguished Instructor Award for the positive impacts he has made to the construction management certificate program.
